Privacy policy

Last updated: 21 June 2026

OfficialTop is an unofficial companion tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by AIDA International.

Overview

OfficialTop is a small, unofficial tool for browsing AIDA competition schedules and start lists. We do not offer user accounts, subscriptions, or marketing emails. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site and why.

Information we do not collect

  • No sign-up — we do not ask for your name, email address, or password.
  • No payment data — the service is free and we do not process card or billing information.
  • No advertising or analytics trackers — we do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar third-party marketing tools on this site.

Information we process

Competition data you import

When you import or resync an event, we fetch publicly available pages from aidainternational.org and store a copy in our database. This typically includes event titles, schedule days, and start-list fields such as athlete names, nationalities, disciplines, official top times, and links to AIDA diver profiles. This data originates from AIDA's public website and is shown to anyone who visits the corresponding event page on OfficialTop.

Technical and abuse-prevention logs

To keep the service stable and prevent abuse, we record limited technical data when you use import, resync, or API features:

  • IP address — used for rate limits (for example, up to 3 imports and 5 resyncs per hour per IP, and up to 60 API requests per 60 seconds).
  • AIDA event ID and action — whether you imported or resynced a specific event, and when.
  • Request timestamps — to enforce cooldowns and delete old log entries.

Sync activity logs are kept for about 30 days, then deleted automatically. API rate-limit logs are kept for a shorter period (about 7 days) for the same purpose.

Bot verification (optional)

When Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, import requests include a verification token checked by Cloudflare. We do not receive your identity from Turnstile — only a pass/fail result. Cloudflare may process data according to its own privacy policy.

Hosting logs

Our hosting and database providers (for example Vercel and Neon) may automatically log standard web-server information such as IP address, request URL, browser type, and error messages. We use these providers only to run the application, not for advertising.

How we use this information

  • Display imported schedules and start lists to site visitors.
  • Enforce rate limits and protect AIDA and OfficialTop from automated abuse.
  • Operate, secure, and debug the service.
  • Remove finished events after 7 days, keeping only a minimal archive (event name and dates) so old links show a clear message.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies

OfficialTop does not set its own marketing or tracking cookies. If Turnstile is enabled, Cloudflare may use cookies or similar storage as part of the verification challenge. Your browser may also store ordinary session data needed to load pages.

Where data is stored

Imported event data and logs are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by our cloud provider. Data may be processed in regions where those providers operate. By using OfficialTop, you understand that this processing is necessary to provide the service.

Retention

  • Imported events — kept while the competition is upcoming, ongoing, or recently finished. Full schedule and start list data is deleted 7 days after the event end date.
  • Archived events — after deletion, we may retain the event name, dates, and removal date so removed-event pages remain understandable.
  • Rate-limit logs — deleted on a rolling basis as described above.

Your choices

Because OfficialTop has no accounts, there is no profile to download or delete. You can stop using the site at any time. If you imported an event and want it removed before automatic cleanup, contact the site operator (details may be added on the home page when available).

Athlete names and results shown on OfficialTop come from public AIDA pages. Questions about how AIDA publishes or corrects that data should be directed to AIDA International.

Children

OfficialTop is intended for general competition-related use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Competition start lists may include names of junior athletes as published by AIDA.

Changes

We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of OfficialTop after changes means you accept the updated policy.
